As a result of the experience and competence gained by the cadres of the National Electric Power Company (formerly Jordan Electricity Authority) during the long years, the company's management sought to move the different experiences to relevant institutions inside and outside Jordan by providing advisory services and co-operation with Arab and foreign institutions to improve the energy sector in general, and the electricity industry to the especial desired level, hence the idea of ​​the establishment of the International Services Department came at the end of 1988 within the cadre of Jordan Electricity authority to be the means to rely on to market  its accumulated and multi experiences.
Thus, international service efforts were crowned in the field of marketing Jordanian experiences by registering International Services Dept at the company as a resource advisory services in the field of electric power by the United Nations within the site: UNCSD www.uncsd.org, in addition to register it in the list of global consulting firms within the site:  www.consultingbase.com, where NEPCO is accredited as a global consultant to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and the Bank of Development Arab-African (BADEA) and the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation (JICA) and the Agency for Swedish Aid (SIDA), the World Bank (WB) and the Electricity Authority of France (EDF), ABB company, Nobel global Inc. (Morganti) American Inc. French Co of (INFLICO) and other international institutions, and we also look forward to add more global consulting business for our company and activities through cooperation with other Arab and international companies.
The International Services Department and Investment under the guidance of senior management and in line with the vision and mission of the company to work on marketing the available expertise in NEPCO and in our sister power companies and provide advisory services to government and private sectors, government and independent organizations and attract new markets locally, regionally and internationally that NEPCO can through be a uneasy competitive force. Cadres of NEPCO spread in the world, starting from the maintenance of distribution networks in Britain to the work of the Advisory Studies in the Gambia, Mauritania, Iraq, Yemen, Oman, Palestine and the end of the training programs in the generation, transmission and distribution, which take place in the company's offices and in its electrical training center at the hands of specialists in staff areas with assistance from the expertise of the Jordanian sister companies.
